Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone

i really don't know exactly when one is supposed to put up a Christmas tree and, to be honest, i really have no wish to find out. the first Sunday of December seemed like as good a time as any to do it, and so we did!

well, i fetched all the stuff out of the garage, i suppose. James was very excited about doing it all, so i mostly just kept out of the way, letting him and Mummy put the actual tree up, and then watching as the two of them were joined by William to put the decorations on.

this was the first time that William had helped to do the tree, and he had a rather splendid time helping his brother put all the stuff on!

well, mostly a splendid time, i suppose. one or two of the decorations were, to William's mind, something akin to insolent, and refused to magically stick to where he decided they should be. when they landed on the floor - thankfully on the rug - William just sort of kicked them away, for they were no use to him. i think we found most of them!

one thing that William certainly wasn't allowed to either kick or particularly handle were the most wonderful new decorations we have. in his pottery classes James has made some great gingerbread men to hang on the tree, and hang on the tree the gingerbread men do!

nice work, son!!

and here's the finished, perhaps lop-sided (or however you spell it), surrounded by a degree of clutter (the boys do love their books) tree!

should you put one of these up in your home, we sincerely hope that you have as much fun doing it as we did with ours!

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
