tell all of the people

greetings

and so it continues, look you see. yet again i find myself subjected to baseless and crass allegations of "not being a proper fan" of Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. this tiresome trait has come up of late, with notes on it being found here and indeed here.

the abusive and uncouth statements being made are legion, and indeed are borderline threatening from a legal perspective. i have no wish to contact the constabulary over this, as i believe common sense shall prevail.

very well. for those who still insist that i am not a so-called "proper" fan of Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys, here's my cassette single, or "cassingle", of this superb, nay excellent, tune

satisfied, critics? i suspect not. one really would think that people have better things to do than be critical of fans of Intergalactic. there is every chance that those who throw the stones with "not a proper fan" scrawled on them are just using my love of this song as a conduit or other such means to attack me.

perhaps next i shall get a tattoo of the cover artwork done on my back. all of my back, which yes i know is quite large. i've not had any real interest in getting a tattoo before. the only things i have ever considered getting "inked" are the Frankie Goes To Hollywood logo, on my arm like what Paul Rutherford used to have but seems to have covered it up, and "The Stone Roses Heaton Park July 1 2012" in the quasi arial black font associated with their debut album.

the provenance of this cassette single / cassingle of Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys? i would be 98% certain that it was HMV. back then, though, you could buy music in lots of different places. it is remotely possible this was purchased at a branch of Virgin, Tower Records, Woolworths or even WH Smith. HMV would be most likely, though.

looking at the track listing for this tape i think i know why i only have the 2 track version of the CD single. the remixes on the expanded CD single are all here on this cassette version. it would, with 90s stereo availability, made sense then to buy different variations on different formats.

i believe that this post says all that i can possibly further say on the subject of Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. should you still be inclined to view me as not a "proper" fan of the song, well, i do not see what other evidence i could present to alter that view. condemn me all you like, but don't take it out on the song, please.

on the same note, my thanks to the silent minority who accept that i am indeed a genuine, authentic and "proper" fan of Intergalactic. your unspoken support keeps me going.

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
